We are happy to work with homeowners who already have plans and their architect of choice, but we also offer a complete design-build service with a registered architect. This design-build approach not only fast tracks the design process, but it also decreases the architecture costs.
This is done by the careful hand-in-hand approach that our design-build approach takes: as the architect is designing the schematic plans, the budget is being checked in order to ensure that it is not being exceeded; this prevents the potential for paying for a design that is too costly to build. As the schematic plans are being tailored, the budget is being narrowed until the plans are complete and final pricing is presented that is within the budget.
All of our projects utilize our online project control system, and every client is given a unique password for their project. This system contains progress photos that are easily forwarded to friends and family, a detailed day-to-day schedule, all project correspondence, change orders, and all project documents (drawings, contracts, etc.).
By clicking on the “Client Center” link on our home page, you can access the login area to the project control system. This system is cloud-based, so you can access it as long as you have an Internet connection.
We perform before-and-after energy audits on all of our remodel, addition, and renovation projects. There are many small things that can be done in a home to make it more energy efficient (and therefore less expensive to live in) that do not have many up-front costs. This additional expertise in building science is another skill that J. Schwartz, LLC has that is above and beyond our competitors.
